The Indian Army has released an official corrigendum for the Short Service Commission (SSC) JAG Entry 123 Course (April 2026), applicable to both male and female law graduates. This corrigendum modifies the earlier notification regarding the distribution of vacancies for the course.
Updated Vacancy Information
In the original notification, the Indian Army had specified separate vacancies for men and women under the JAG Entry 123 Course:
- Men: 05 Vacancies
- Women: 05 Vacancies
However, as per the latest corrigendum, the Army has now combined these vacancies for both male and female applicants.

Official Statement from the Indian Army
As mentioned in the corrigendum, the Indian Army clarified that combined vacancies are announced based on operational and administrative requirements as per the current and future needs of the Force.
The Army further explained that the application process, shortlisting for SSB, final selection, and merit preparation will all be conducted according to the new combined vacancy system. The procedure will depend on the number of applications received for this specific course.
